Online Exam-Taking FAQs
How long after I register do I have to view the Online Exam-Taking lecture?
Your subscription will expire 45 days from the date of purchase. If you would like to renew your subscription, you simply have to login and pay for a new subscription. You can login and watch (or re-watch) the lecture as many times as you like during the 45 day period.
How long does it take to get through the entire video?
The video lecture is approximately 162 minutes long, but you do not need to do it all in one sitting. We know that time is a hot commodity for all law students, so we broke the entire video down into 77 segments - this allows students to finish a few segments, logout and then return later when it is more convenient.
Iíve got a friend at a different law school who wants to take the class, can I just give her my login information?
Nope. Our exam-taking program is copyrighted and sharing your login information is a breach of the terms of use and will terminate your access to the program. Violators are also subject civil fines and penalties under the US copyright laws.
Your written materials that accompany the lecture are AWESOME! Do you mind if I share them with a few of my close friends?
Again, we have to say no. We put a lot of time into creating the workshop overview materials and the sample exams and model answers that accompany the video lecture. Copying and/or sharing these copyrighted materials is a breach of the terms of use and will terminate your access to the program. Violators are also subject to civil fines and penalties under the US copyright laws. To protect our copyright to these materials, each PDF download is encoded with a unique watermark that will allow us to determine who originally downloaded (and unlawfully shared) the file, so we strongly suggest you don't do it.
How do I view the written materials that accompany the lecture?
After you login simply click on the links to download the written materials as PDFs. Adobe® Reader® (or some other PDF reader) is needed to open and view these files. If you do not already have it installed on your computer you can download Adobe® Reader® for free by clicking here.
Do I need to download any special software to view the video lecture?
No. The video streams from our servers directly through your web browser so no special software is needed.
I took the Law Preview course during the summer and heard you receive a $50 discount. How do I go about getting the discount?
Before you can access the online lecture, you must register. During the Registration & Payment step of the account setup process you will be asked for your email address. If the email address you provide matches the one in our databse that you used to register for the summer class, then the $50 discount automatically appears during checkout.
I changed my email address between the time I first registered for the Law Preview class and now . . . can I still get the discount?
Yes. Simply login to the account you still have with Law Preview and update your profile by changing your email address. This will change your username to your new email address, but it will also update our records for you. Then, proceed through the registration process and the Law Preview Alumni Discount should appear automatically.
I received a promotional code from LawBooksForLess.com that entitles me to a discount on the program, can I combine this with other discounts like my Law Preview Alumni Discount?
Unfortunately not. Once you qualify for the $50 Law Preview Alumni Discount, you will not be able to use a promotional code.
